Fresh Rainbow Trout
This smoked trout and fresh trout is first class. Moist and flakey. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is sometimes it is a bit too salty. I love the texture and it's so far superior to anything in the supermarkets. Customer Service is lovely.
Their smoked trout pates and fillets are sensational. Literally the best I have ever had and I love The Troutlet! A fabulous name for a shop and being able to choose from their full range as well as lots of other products is wonderful. I can highly recommend, perfect for lunches, picnics, sharing boards and delicious dinners.
Delicious Trout Pates! They have different flavours, my favourites are chilli trout pate & the dill trout pate. The favours aren't over-powering, they compliment the trout perfectly. They can be frozen which is really helpful. The pots of flaked trout are yummy on salads too. A fabulous small business promoting local ingredients.
I can't speak for their other products, however I was really disappointed with the smoked trout pate. The ingredients stated 50% trout with of preservatives, sulphites and additives on the list. At £5.50, for 120g, this is a shame. Supermarket pates have a much higher fish content with much less nasties and are tastier. Butler Country Estates are obviously going for a longer shelf life but I'll be sticking to other brands.

Fresh Side of Rainbow Trout
We cooked ours with a selection of fresh herbs from the garden and served with new potatoes and watercress. Summer on a plate (shame about the rain).
Smoked Trout Pate with Dill
I love both the trout pate with dill and the one with chilli. They go down very well with some tasty sourdough toast and a nice chilled glass of white!

Absolutely delicious, will definitely purchase more. Plus one for the freezer. Treat for me to be dairy free.
Hampshire Smoked Trout Fillets
WOW! I bought your hot smoked trout fillet at a Farmers Market and was very pleased with the flavour which was mild not harsh as other smoked fish can sometimes be. The texture was so soft and moist. I just reheated it gently in the pan and served it with new potatoes, tender stem broccoli and carrots, with a little lemon and some horseradish sauce. I’ll be back for more as there are recipes on your website that I’d like to try too.
The whole smoked trout and the smoked trout fillets are the very best that I have tasted. They are characterised by a rich oiliness and delicious apple-y smokiness.

Hampshire Smoked Trout Fillets
This is my favourite hot smoked fish. I think the texture of trout is better than salmon. The smoke level is perfect and it’s quite moist. Local produce too!

We tried this last night - gorgeous paté - really clean and fresh tasting - and local! Give it a try - good on Melba Toast or a slice of toasted soar dough and a squeeze of lemon. Now going to think of more ways to enjoy!

While we always bring a wide variety of our products to the markets, it's always best to order in advance to ensure you get what you want in case we run out on the day.
On checkout, ensure you select the appropriate location to collect your goods from.
National Delivery
We can courier our smoked trout anywhere in the United Kingdom. National deliveries are dispatched on Thursdays for next-day delivery. The national delivery charge is £7.96, with the exception of The Highlands and The Outer Hebrides, where we need to charge £15.95. We will confirm the delivery date for orders to The Highlands or The Outer Hebrides once the order is placed.
Our pate and fish are specially packed to ensure they stay chilled throughout the journey to you.
