After its success at the Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market, Hampshire Fare will be once again taking up residence in a market chalet to provide small producers with an opportunity to showcase their wares to the public.
The Winchester Christmas Market is recognised as one of the best seasonal markets in Europe and runs from the 19th of November to the 22nd of December, featuring produce, goods, and crafts from local artisans and top quality exhibitors.
Styled on traditional German Christmas Markets the Winchester event is held annually and gifts and produce is sold by vendors from charming and authentic wooden chalets. The Hampshire Fare chalet will be manned by staff handing out local produce guides and advising shoppers on how to buy locally sourced food and other items.
Environmental concerns and an interest in sustainability has generated an increase in the number of shoppers that want to support their local economy while reducing damage to the planet. As such, it is expected that buying local will be more popular than ever over this Christmas season.
To round off this year’s popular Christmas event, Butler Country Estates will be taking over the Hampshire Fare Chalet on the final day of the market.
