Our Hampshire Smoked Trout Fillet has been awarded a prestigious Great Taste 3-Star Award 2026 — the highest accolade awarded by the Guild of Fine Food.

Many of you have been with us throughout our journey, supporting us at markets, visiting The Troutlet, ordering online and sharing our products with your friends and family. So, before we shouted about this news more widely, we wanted our wonderful community to be among the first to hear it.

Only 306 products out of over 15,000 entries received the coveted 3-Star award — placing our Hampshire Smoked Trout Fillet among the top 2% of entries.

The judges described our fillet as a “taste sensation”, saying:

“The richness of flavours floods across the palate. The balance is just right, the texture wonderful, and the smoking perfect. We loved this.”

For us, this award is especially meaningful because our smoked trout fillet represents everything we believe in. Every fillet is carefully prepared by hand, cured in our own unique brine and traditionally hot smoked using a carefully balanced blend of apple, oak and a touch of hickory. We never rush the process — every batch receives the same care, attention and craftsmanship.
